Normally, the suction cup is connected to the ball joint and level compensator to pick up workpiece whose surface is not horizontal but is inclined at a certain angle, or irregular or odd shaped objects where it is almost impossible to locate the centre of gravity. During transfering, the workpiece tends to wobble and shake, and tend to tilt towards the side which is heavier. VMECA's Valock system locks the ball joint and the level compensator once the vacuum cup holds the workpiece securely and safely. Upon reaching the set vacuum pressure, the vacuum switch will send a pneumatic signal to lock both ball joint and level compensator, thereby, preventing shaking or wobbling during part transfer, even though the workpiece is picked from any position outside its centre of gravity.
